Toast to the Coast: September 24-25, 2010
In recognition of International Coastal Cleanup Day, Alaskan Brewing, K3 and the Coastal CODE are planning an exciting weekend of events for Alaskans to celebrate their coastal lifestyle. Feel free to attend one or all of the following “Toast to the Coast” events:
Concert for the C.O.D.E
The concert will take place on Friday, September 24, 2010 at 8:30 p.m. at Marlintini’s (9121 Glacier Hwy, Juneau, AK) and will feature live bands Woodrow, Sasquatch Prom Date and Thickfreakness. All proceeds from ticket and Alaskan Beer sales will benefit the Coastal CODE - because Clean Oceans Depend on Everyone! Tickets are $20 when purchased in advance at the Alaskan Brewing or $25 if purchased on the night of the show. Tickets purchases will include a round trip ride downtown to Marlintini’s (courtesy of Alaska Couch Tours), an Alaskan Beer, good karma and a fabulous live show! Must be 21 or older to attend the event. Come out and join Alaskan Brewing for a great show, a great cause and a great time!
International Coastal Cleanup Day
On Saturday, September 25, 2010 from 9 a.m. to noon, join thousands of volunteers from around the world to remove garbage and debris from the beautiful Alaskan beaches and shorelines. Do you part for Coastal Cleanup Day by cleaning 18 public beach areas in Juneau and Douglas and then join Alaskan Brewing at noon for a free BBQ at Auke Recreation area! Good deeds and good eats make this cleanup event the perfect recipe for a wonderful time! Email jwp@alaska.net to register your business or organization for one of the 18 target areas or meet your fellow CODE-ers at Sandy Beach or Auke Rec for a group cleanup. All participants will recieve a coupon for one free beverage at the K3 Festival of Seafood. Sweet!
